Pothos Care

Light:

Do best in bright, indirect light.  They can tolerate lower lighting, however their variegation will usually fade and growth will slow in low light conditions. Avoid direct sunlight as it will scorch leaves.

Watering:

Allow the top 2" of the soil to dry before watering, and let excess water drain off to avoid root rot. Error on the side of underwatering, but remember, consistency is key!

Humidity:

Higher humidity levels will keep this plant thriving. Try placing it closer to other plants or utilizing a small humidifier.

Soil and Fertilizer:

A well draining potting mix is a must!  A mix of potting soil, perlite, and orchid bark will keep the soil aerated and promote strong root growth. Fertilize in the spring/summer months every month with a half strength balanced liquid fertilizer.  In the fall and winter, fertilize every other month.

Temperature:

Maintain consistent temperatures between 65-80 degrees Fahrenheit.

Toxicity:

Mildly toxic to humans and pets.
